CBT Resources on Insight Timer: Worksheets and Gentle Audio Practices for Reflection and Change

Last year, I was really pleased to be invited by Insight Timer to create a set of CBT-informed resources. I wanted to share them here in case they’re helpful for your work, your clients, or your own practice.

The resources include a collection of CBT worksheets that are designed to feel a little different from more traditional approaches. In particular, I’ve tried to use gentle, open language rather than focusing heavily on “challenging unhelpful thoughts”. My hope was to create materials that feel more accessible, compassionate, and less confrontational, especially for people who can find standard CBT language off-putting.

Alongside the worksheets, I curated a list of audio practices available on Insight Timer, and I also recorded several guided practices myself. These audios are intended to support people who are becoming familiar with the idea of evaluating their thoughts and designing and carrying out behavioural experiments. They offer a slow, supportive introduction to these ideas, rather than jumping straight into technique.

These resources may be helpful for clients, particularly those who are new to CBT or who benefit from a gentler pace. They may also be useful for trainee or newly qualified CBT therapists who are getting to grips with these approaches and want examples of how they can be introduced in a more compassionate, accessible way.

You can access the worksheets and audio practices here:

I hope these resources are useful, and you’re very welcome to share them with clients or colleagues if they feel like a good fit.
