Perhaps you've always wanted to pursue a career in psychology and are very clear as to which area of psychology you're headed in. Maybe you know you want to do some further training in psychology and you're not sure which area's for you. Perhaps, as was the case for me, you're working in a field unrelated to psychology and you're flirting with the idea of a career change in that direction.
Earlier this week I spoke to Fatema @mypsychcareercoach about my route into becoming a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Yoga Therapist for Mental Health. We talked about ways to 'try out' working in different areas within mental health, to experience working with different client and patient groups, how to grow experience and develop a strong application for psychology training and job roles as well as useful ways to prepare for interviews.
